In addition to being Chairman of the board of directors for PFSweb, Mr. Layton is the former Chairman and CEO of Daisytek International Inc., the world's largest distributor of computer consumables. Under Layton's 12 years of leadership Daisytek grew from $30M in revenue to over $1.2B. Layton has also served on the public company boards of uBid Inc, a leading Internet auction site, ISA plc, a European office products distributor, and for 12 years with Daisytek International. Layton has also served on numerous private and non-profit boards including GNWC, a wire, cable and networking products distributor, Virtual Village, an Internet education developer, Northern Arizona University Foundation Board, Northern Arizona University College of Business Deans advisory board and on a number of Church and local non-profit boards.
Layton is also the Author of . coms or. bombs … Strategies for profit in e-business, published in 1999, as well as co-author of an ongoing series of leadership development booklets titled Listen up Leader… He is an Associate Editor for the Center for Cycle Time Research at the University of Memphis.
